
COLUMBIA, S.C. Columbia Police Department officers were constantly searching for Sims who went missing since the week of Christmas. They were also able to detain Taylor Wardlaw in connection with the death of his friend. Eddie Brown, 30, is charged with being an accomplice in the murder of the Columbia Police Department, officials declare. Sims, a 26 year-old male, was last seen in Columbia in the early morning of Dec. 20 at Ervin Street. Police say that Sims's girlfriend Wardlaw reported him missing Dec. 22. The body was found near a stream off Monticello Road Wednesday, and the Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford, confirmed that the body belonged to Sims. Skip Holbrook, Chief of Columbia Police says Wardlaw has been accused of murder as well as possessing a firearm in the execution of a violent offense.
