Sharon Yvonne Stone is the only child from Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, a tool-and-die manufacturer and former employee of a plant. Sharon was born on the 10th of March, 1958, in Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are three of her siblings. Stone was regarded as academically gifted when she started the second grades at five. In 1975 Stone graduated from Saegertown high school located in Saegertown (Pennsylvania). In 1975, the Miss Pennsylvania beauty competition saw her win Miss Crawford County. Stone relocated into New Jersey in 1977 with her aunt, to pursue a career as a model. In just a few months, Stone signed up for the Ford Modeling Agency. Soon after, Stone relocated into Europe and spent the whole year living in Milan in Italy and Paris. In the end, Stone became disillusioned with modeling and fashion within Europe which led her to take up acting while in the country. Woody Allen starred in "Stardust Memories" it was a mix-review movie in the age of twenty.
